"That's why it's humbling because it makes me [realize] just how lucky I have it; the privilege that I have and that I'm able to at least just give some moment of my time to make sure they're in a better place,” Goverman said.
“It’s grabbing at trying to solve the homelessness issue here, but it’s not with compassion. It’s not with actual solutions, it’s more so hiding the problem, rather than solving the problem,” said Logan Goverman, an SDSU student and member of the Mustard Seed Project, a grassroots organization on campus.
Thanks to the 2021 grant, we provided critical assistance to 38 households, preventing 14 people from homelessness and supporting 665 individuals with essential services in Carlsbad.
